Fracking – Is this what we want on our doorstep? Film night at Stratford Community Hall, November 8th at 6.30pm.

Coal Seam Gas (CSG) activities (including hydraulic fracturing – “fracking”) have a track record of contaminating underground and surface water as well as polluting air.

CSG mining is incompatible with community wellbeing, farming and tourism.

A CSG exploration permit is pending over Nguddaboolgan (Mt Mulligan) 60km northwest of Mareeba in the headwaters of the Mitchell River. The whole Mitchell River catchment area is likely to be impacted!
